Javier Sarache and Stu Paterson are seated a table away from each other here on Day 2 of Event 10. The pair stands out because they both own notable victories at the Seminole Coconut Creek property.

Sarache most recently bested 260 entries in Event 2 of the Spring Series good for a score of $7,531. Patteson, meanwhile, earned his title in January’s Coco Poker Showdown Championship. Paterson’s title came at the hands of a 161-player field and earned him $32,785.

While Paterson holds the advantage as far as the size of the score, it’s Sarache who owns the chip lead to this point. He claims 595,000 and sits toward the top of the counts well clear of Paterson’s 167,000 chips.

Loni Harwood (pictured right)

“The picture will be more exciting when I double,” World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner Loni Harwood said after tournament staff grabbed a quick photo of her.

As luck would have it, the double came before she knew it.

Harwood was in the cutoff facing a raise to 14,500. She jammed for her last 77,500 and the button and blinds folded. After a minute or two, the original raiser called and Harwood was at risk.

Harwood: 9c9d
Opponent: AxJx

The flop smacked her opponent falling AcJc8s improving him to two pair. The turn 2s left her drawing slim. The river revealed the 9h — one of her two outs — giving her a set and earning her the double.

“Dirty,” she said raking the pot.

Loni Harwood improved to a set on the river.
