In a four-way pot, the board was . The small blind checked as did Daniel Pearlman in the big blind. It was on Miguel Martinez under the gun and he checked, too. A player in middle position, who appeared to be near the top of the counts at the time, bet 20,200. All but Pearlman folded.

Now heads up, the turn fell the . Pearlman checked again. The opponent bet 36,500. Pearlman verified the bet before calling.

The river fell the . Pearlman checked a third time. The opponent pushed forward a bet that looked like 44,400. Pearlman insta-called, casually plopping a purple 500 chip in the middle. The opponent tabled for a set but was second best to Pearlman’s flush. The opponent mucked just as fast as Pearlman had called.

A few hands later, Prociak busted last September’s Coco Poker Open Championship winner Ian O’Hara.

Luminita Petric is among the chip leaders late in Day 1. She’s continuing a good run of play that came to a head during yesterday’s $560. She participated in five-way chop in the event, finishing fourth for $6,951.

Here in the Championship, Petric has been consistently building a stack throughout the day. Recently, in a four-way, raised pot, action checked to Petric in middle position. She bet 10,500 and the other three players in the hands mucked with little hesitation. Petric took the pot and he stack grew to 300,000.
