Registration closed for our inaugural RunGood All-Stars Main Event with 314 entries in Flight B putting the combined total at 519. That is good enough to run the $50,000 guarantee up to a $275,070 prize pool, a fantastic turnout for the series headliner.

WSOP bracelet winner Matt Waxman was one of those late entries and he joined Jamie Kerstetter at a table along the rail.

Larry Klur open-shoved for 12,800 from early position and the cutoff player pushed out a stack worth 34,000 (not all in). Frank Russo was on the button and started to talk and think. He had 18,400 behind and called at risk before the blinds folded.

“No sets!” Russo asked the dealer.

Klur was ahead for the triple up and nothing changed on the flop. The turn paired the board and the put two pair aces and nines out there. Russo’s king kicker played and he celebrated while Klur was eliminated from the Main Event.

Jessica Cai opened to 1,200 from the cutoff and picked up calls from Scott Zakheim on the button and Tim Kegel in the small blind. The flop came and Kegel bet 1,400.

Cai and Zakheim called, the turn came and Kegel bet another 2,300. Cai called, Zakheim folded, and the river was . Kegel fired again for 4,000 and Cai called after a short think.

Kegel flopped two pair but Cai’s middle pair/diamond draw got there on the turn and she dragged the pot.

We’re seeing a lot of players from our sister room in Hollywood taking the short drive north for the RunGood Main Event. Steven McKoy is one of them and it didn’t take long for him to jump into the lead. He was one of the late reg players and spun his 20K starting stack up to 102,600

With 245 entries so far, the prize pool is on the verge of pushing the prize pool over $250,000.

There are a lot of visitors in the tournament today but it’s a local leading the way. Devin Batista returned to the biggest stack in the room at this point with 82,300 in a room without a lot of big stacks.
