Event 5: Howard Mash Takes the Lead

$130 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 22: 12,000/24,000/3,000 Ante

Lisa Teebagy has doubled up a couple of the short stacks, and she has been overtaken by the field. She also dropped a significant pot against Howard Mash when she bluffed the river with jack-high. Mash found a call with queen-high, and that pot moved him dangerously close to 1,000,000 chips. He’s now the chip leader with 11 players remaining.

If you’ve been following the coverage this week, you’re already familiar with the name. Mash was here late last night, eventually winning the $500 heads-up event in the wee hours of the morning. He’s making a long night of it again tonight, looking to go back to back in the Coco Poker Open.

Event 5: Teebagy into Seven Figures

$130 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 21: 10,000/20,000/2,000 Ante

The tournament’s first million-chip stack is sitting in front of Lisa Teebagy. She’s a Florida grinder who’s tasted success in this building before. In 2014, Teebagy won the $150 six-max WPT Regional event, earning more than $7,000. She has more than $50,000 in combined tournament winnings with the majority coming right here in her home state.

With 15 players left, the chip average is just about 375,000. Teebagy has the big stack of about 1,050,000 chips in front of her now, as she continues to keep the field at arm’s length.

Event 5: A Chip Leader Emerges

$130 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 18: 5,000/10,000/1,000 Ante

The field has been reduced to 27 players, and there is a big pack hovering around the 350,000-chip mark. And then there’s Lisa Teebagy. She’s been on the radar for much of the evening, but her stack has skyrocketed over the last few levels. She has 675,000 chips in front of her, nearly twice as many as anyone in the pack that’s chasing her.

The first 14 levels are complete, and the players are on their second full break of the evening. While they’re away, the black T100 chips will be colored up and raced off.

There are eight tables left in play, and the plan is to play down to a winner tonight. Action resumes in 15 minutes.
