Abramowitz: 9s9d
McKoy: 5h5d

McKoy ran into the bigger pair, asked the dealer for a five, but the board came 7d6h3d6cKs to send him out in seventh place.

Steven McKoy – Eliminated in 7th Place ($1,792)

“You caught me,” Velasco joked when he called.

Velasco: 9s6s
Hernandez: JdJs

Hernandez found a good spot to get his short stack in the middle but Velasco made two pair nines and sixes when the dealer ran out the KsQd9h6h4h board.

Esbardo Hernandez – Eliminated in 8th Place ($1,498)

Players Remaining:  8 of 261

Steven McKoy opened to 45,000 from the cutoff and Katerina Lukina three-bet to 110,000 from the button. The blinds folded, McKoy called, and the flop came 8c7h5s.

McKoy checked, Lukina continued to 70,000 and McKoy checked-raised all in. Lukina called at risk for 394,000 and we got a look at the hands.

Lukina: AcAd
McKoy: Kc9d

McKoy took a shot but ran into Lukina’s aces. The 4s turn left Lukina looking to dodge four gutshot outs and the Tc river was safe for her huge double.

Katerina Lukina – 1,058,000 (53 bb)
Steven McKoy – 115,000 (6 bb)

Lukina: AcKd
Miller: KhQd

Miller was behind but paired his queen on the Qc6s2c flop for a glimpse of hope. That was dashed when Lukina took the lead on the Ad turn and sent Miller out after the Kc river.

Bob Miller – Eliminated in 9th Place ($1,208)

Abramowitz called leaving 75,000 behind and the river was Ac. Dolehanty bet enough to cover Abramowitz stack and he called at risk.

Abramowitz: AhKd
Dolehanty: QsTs

Dolehanty flopped a queen but the river ace sent Abramowitz the double.

Jeff Abramowitz – 332,000 (28 bb)
Jacob Dolehanty – 650,000 (54 bb)

Eric Siegel

The 10 remaining players went on a 15-minute break and returned trying to reach the final table. Eric Siegel found himself short, he moved all in from under the gun for 45,000 and it folded to Steven McKoy in the big blind.

“Good news for you,” McKoy said. “I haven’t looked.”

They both laughed, McKoy called, and they both sweated his peel. First was the Qd.

“That’s good for me,” Siegel said. “That’s my best card.”

McKoy’s last card was the 7h and Siegel was in great shape with QcJh.

The flop came AhKh6d, safe for Siegel and the turn was 3d. The river was bad news when McKoy paired the 7c to send Siegel out.

“I felt it coming,” Siegel joked with McKoy. “I just thought it was going to be the turn.”

With Siegel eliminated, the clock was paused as the last nine players drew seats at the final table.

Velasco: AsKc
Gutnick: QdQh

Gutnick was ahead for a double but he was racing. The Jc8s2h flop was safe but Velasco paired the Ad turn to take the lead. The river 5h finished the board to send Gutnick out in 17th place.

Ricardo Velasco – 920,000 (115 bb)
Moshe Gutnick – Eliminated in 17th Place ($728)

Joann Coliny

Event 4 was one elimination away from a two-table redraw when a big, loud hand went down. We caught the end and the table gave a brief recap. Joann Coliny played tough through the bubble last night, built a nice stack this afternoon, and was laddering up.

Until she found aces.

Coliny was all-in at risk with aces against Aleksandr Tishchenko with queens and Jeffrey Abramowitz with big slick. Abramowitz caught a king on the flop, everyone made two pair on the turn when a second deuce came, and Abramowitz binked another king on the river to send both out.

That left the field with 17 players remaining and they redrew new seats at the last two tables.

18th: Aleksandr Tishchenko – $728
19th: Joann Coliny – $602
20th: David Moreno – $602

Jacob Dolehanty

Alejandro Arana Torres was down to 21,000 and put his stack in the middle from early position and Jacob Dolehanty called to put him at risk.

Dolehanty: Jc8c
Torres: KsJs

Dolehanty shook his head when he saw his hand was dominated but that quickly changed on the Ts9c7d flop. Dolehanty flopped a jack-high straight and Torres was eliminated after the Jh turn and 3h river.

Jacob Dolehanty – 376,000 (63 bb)
Alejandro Arana Torres – Eliminated in 23rd Place ($482)
