Players are back in their seats following the first break in Flight C of Event 6. The clock shows 42 registered to this point with late registration/unlimited re-entry available until about 2:15 p.m.

The early chip leader appears to be Ryan Anderson from Pittsburgh, Pa. Anderson, who lead the Event 1 final table before bowing out 4th, has nearly quadrupled the 10,000-chip starting stack over the first six levels and now holds about 43,000.

One of the more notable entries to this point is reigning Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year Ory Hen. Hen, who’s a regular face during any South Florida tournament series, sits on about 27,500 chips.

All Coco Showdown participants earn points toward the nine-tournament race to the top of the series leaderboard. At the conclusion of the final event, the points leader earns a $1,000 bonus payout. In addition to the leader’s payout, the runner up earns $750, third-fifth earn $500 and sixth-10th earn $190.

It’s Day 7 of the #CocoPokerShowdown at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. The third and fourth starting days in Event 6 headline the the next 12 hours of play. The $130 buy-in no limit hold’em tournament features a $250,000 guarantee. As is, the field stands at 104 entries with the upcoming flights expected to be the largest.

Joining Event 6 on the schedule will be Event 7, a $240 buy-in Omaha high/low event that begins at noon.

Event 6 Day 1B: Evening Flights Draws 53

Registration is closed and the final numbers are in for the second of eight starting flights in Event 6, a $350 buy-in, $250,000 guaranteed no limit hold’em tournament. The evening edition of play saw 53 entries take to the felt in search of a five-figure score. They’ll pair with Flight A’s 51 as well as those who make it out for C, D, E, F, G and H to make the complete player pool.

The clock shows 15 players remaining toward the beginning of Level 10. They’ll log a few more levels of play with action scheduled to conclude when the field narrows to five players.

The 51-player starting field in Event 6 played to only five remaining following less than 13 levels. Leading the way is Event 1 champion David Albertson with 200,100. Less than a week ago, Albertson bested a 1,156-entry field in the series opener pocketing better than $25,000. He’s back in contention after bagging the chip advantage in the opening flight of Event 6 and hopes for another victory at the hands of a super-sized field.
