Marc Amarante won the 14th primary event of the 2016 Coco Poker Open Sunday night at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. The tournament was a $100 buy-in Deep Stack Turbo Bounty and drew 52 entries. Amarante took home the top prize following a four-way chop that saw him pocket $1,100.

The tournament kicked off at 12pm. With 15-minute levels and 16,000-chip starting stacks, action was fast throughout. It took just five and a half hours from kickoff to Steve Touitou’s 5th-place elimination. It was then that Amarante along with Rick Kalgstein, George Duffield and Steven Swaim agreed to an ICM chop.

Amarante is 24 years old and resides in Miami. The victory marks his first major tournament score.

Registration is closed in today’s 12pm $100 Deep Stack Turbo Bounty and the prize pool is finalized. The tournament drew 52 entries and the $3,700 prize pool — which meets the $5,000 guarantee after you factor in the $1,300 in bounties — pays the top six players. A  min-cash earns $222 while the tournament’s champion pockets $1,443 along with any bounties accumulated.

The $100 Deep Stack Turbo Bounty began just moments ago and players are filing in as we speak. They’ll start with 16,000 chips and log 15-minute levels throughout. Registration and re-entry are available until the start of Level 13 with the tournament structured to play out to completion.
