The blinds are up and we’ve lost about half the field as 31 of the original 60 entrants are left. Still in the field are Harrison Gimbel, Chris Bolek, John Holley, and Nigel Murray. We’ll have some updated chip counts after the next break in approximately an hour.

Event 3 Day 1B: Heavy Hitters

As we head into the second half of play for the day here’s a look at a few of the players that decided to take part in today’s second flight:

Harrison Gimbel – this South Florida native won the 2010 PCA for a cool $2.2 million. He has career tournament earnings in excess of three million dollars including a win for $32,300 at the Lucky Hearts Poker Open this past February in the $1,650 Six-Max Bounty.

John Holley – the poker veteran is approaching the one million mark in lifetime earnings with $896,812. His biggest score of $283,312 came as a result of a third place finish in the 2013 World Series of Poker Seniors Event.

Steve Karp – another play approaching the one million mark with $897,402 in lifetime earnings. A good chunk of that ($414,116) came when he finished 2nd in a WSOP event back in 2009.
