We caught up with two SHRP regulars battling against each other on Table 23. It was John Pappas taking down a small pot against Martin “Gun Show” Carnero (nickname courtesy of his friends) with good on the board.

Both players have results around the state including several final tables here on property for Carnero. His best career result came with a fourth place finish in the 2015 Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open” Championship and Carnero’s solid year saw him finish eighth in the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year race.

John Pappas can be found grinding all around the state and his last tournament victory came a year ago during the 2015 Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Winter Poker Open.
