Coconut Creek, Fla. (January 25, 2016) — Lou Stadler is the most recent champion of the Coco Poker Showdown. Stadler won Event 3 of the nine-tournament series late Sunday night at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. An $80 no limit hold’em tournament, Event 3 drew a field of 82 players and yielded a $5,000 prize pool. Stadler’s victory came following a three-way chop. He held the chip lead and went home with $1,329 while Allan Dungo and Gloria Anez earned $1,161 and $909.

“It feels great to actually win something, even if it’s just a small event,” Stadler said. “I’m very, very happy and very honored to be a part of this series and to take one of these down.”

Stadler is 39 years old and resides in Miami. In 1998, he founded the Miami Poker Society, a laid-back bar league aimed at providing a comfortable and fun atmosphere for both new and experienced players. Event 3 marked Stadler’s second career victory and pushed him to over $52,000 in career earnings.

Lou Stadler, Allan Dungo and Gloria Anez chopped Event 3 of the Coco Poker Showdown three ways. Stadler held the chip lead and scored $1,329 while Dungo and Anez earned $1,161 and $909 respectively.
